Leather Kilt A Question For Scottish People: What Are Your Opinions On Non-Scots Wearing Kilts In Scotland?

A question for Scottish people: what are your opinions on non-Scots wearing kilts in Scotland? - leather kilt

I am an American who owns a kilt and the opportunity to not wear too often, because if you did not used here because the American people think you're weird. However, I have a job that I can work in the UK try to I (in England who lived from the age of 9-14 and still now and then a desire to return time, as I this place!) If I lived there I never wore a kilt, so I ask myself, what are your views on the issue of foreigners use in Scotland? And my skirt is not a punk rock made of leather or something, is made a Scottish kilt with Mr. MacKay. Is there a kilt "Label" to wear as a shirt or shoes?

I'm Scottish and I have no problem with him is really welcome. My mother is with him taking all the time. Not in England get .... Although there are many anti-Scottish sentiment at the time, they blame everyone but themselves for their problems. So, if you are in Scotland and want to use it, I say .. forward. Good luck.

I have no problem as long as respect for our country and the cultural heritage and not as a gimmick. I am a Scot living in California, and I get my Kilts no more excuses, I love to carry games on my Scottish kilt and a tank top for my clan crests and the cross of St. Andrew's tattoos proudly display.
I would be careful in England, especially in bars, because it might give you some problems ignorant people (Sassenachs ;-))
I wear skirts with tank tops, shirts, polos, shirts, simultaneously with ghillie brogue and long socks / Dr Martens different colors
For formal events, I was completely "Bonnie Prince Charlie", with a fly.
For the funeral recently, was that the same, but with an open collar shirt with long black.

awaanboi ... England is multicultural in the United Kingdom that we have experienced problems with people who wear skirts heard.
I want to see what would happen if people do not wear flag English English as a Scotland shirt.

Back to the question, in Scotland there are no foreigners, English or Welsh is in Scotland, it shows they are interested in Scottish culture.
Only an idiot angry.

In Scotland and I would not be a problem with a stranger she was wearing, but I agree it should'nt in England ...
Here, people tend to to formal events or football matches, which happens a lot, so its quite normal that cause people to see in one.

Well, I'm half Scottish and lived in England for half my life and I'm with people who wear skirts well, provided they are not in Scotland and funny to be in use for a war, but as a way to show his Scottish herit

If a skirt is appropriate, so I have no problem with you wearing a kilt. It is normally not used for daily activities. Skirts are typically used for special occasions such as weddings, ceilidhs, dinner, etc..

I'm Scottish and have never worn a kilt. It is not official dress everyday. In general, things such as weddings, graduations, celebrations, ceremonies, see supporting Scottish sport. It does not bother you that someone, no matter where they come.

It is appropriate, shoes, socks, shirt, jacket, etc. to go with the skirt. Once again, depends on what happens. Support of the Scottish football, for example - who would not all this - and everything is expensive. You will receive the rental business of this type of thing.

Moreover, there are changes, so that the shirt is more casual. Ghillie Shirt. Skirt or a shirt Ghillie on Google.
